When picking a therapist, always remember that the therapist’s most important tool is their person - who they are. So, pick a therapist that is a good “personality fit” for you. Sometimes you won’t know until after you have met a few times and sometimes you will know immediately. If things don’t feel right after giving it a few sessions, let the therapist know and move on. You are the consumer, never forget that. This is your therapy.
